'12 - intern year: 0 EFTS
'13 - 2nd year of medicine: 3 EFTS
'14 - 3rd year: 4 EFTS
'15 - 4th year: 5 EFTS
'16 - 5th year: 6 EFTS
'17 - 6th year: 7 EFTS
AND WE'RE ALLOWED A TOTAL OF 7 EFTS POINTS.
Thank you God that this stupid scheme only started in 2010 (i.e. halfway through my first degree) and thank you God that I skipped a year otherwise I would be royally screwed (not to mention, way more in debt because they stopped the Bonded Merit Scholarship scheme the year after I started second year), and my poor parents would have to cough up ten grand to allow me to finish my medical degree.
It's not by chance or mere coincidence that everything fits together like a completed jigsaw puzzle. I would not have been ready to do medicine if I had gotten in straight out of HSFY. And now I can earn some money throughout the year as a pharmacist. I wouldn't be in Dunedin right now. I wouldn't be with E. still.
All you atheists out there can kiss my ass.
