My boyfriend is awesome. He just diagnosed subcutaneous emphysema. In a patient in a different city a.k.a. my mother.
Such a big turn on. Not the mother thing. But the boyfriend diagnosing thing. He should wear his scrubs more often around me.
it seems that i alternate between two states exclusively: melancholy and bitchiness

#footinmouth
Must. keep. mouth. shut. I don't know what possessed me to interrupt a consultant. A freaking CONSULTANT over what to give my mother for her wind.

Well, at least I've realised that I know next to nothing before I start class so we can all start afresh, egos nada.

#hidingthefactthatiwillhavetwodegrees
Told a complete stranger today who asked me what I do that I was a pharmacist studying to be a doctor. Those words have never left my mouth before. And they never will again because I felt like a total jackass.
I'm still shuddering in retrospect.
Mum seems okay at the moment. I hate not knowing what actually went down in the theatre. I also hate it when she seems so weak that she can't even lift her hands up properly.

#rantrantrantrantrantrantrantrantrantrantrant
Yeah, that was just plain rude. I honestly thought there would be at least a thank you. Hey ..., thanks for coming down and dropping it off. Clearly not. I swear, if it was ANYONE else, I would probably say something to your face. But because it's you, I shall refrain. Makes me mad still.
rantyrantyrantyrantrantrantymcrantrant.
Also, for the first time in my life, I wish I was not privy to gossip. Because then I could claim complete innocence. But now I may just know enough to get me into trouble. fdkjdsfkjsdfkjfds
And my mother is having surgery. And her platelets are low. And the anaesthetist refuses to operate until her iron levels are high enough. Which is hard when one has perpetual periods which are literally torrential.
And I can't go home to see her.
Life is wonderful.

#goodbyetwentytwelve
Insert generic cheesy post about the year that has just been past.
____________________
Except, 2012 was one of my most favourite years so far. In a way, it beats out 2007 and 2008. Well, it beats 2008 because
a) this time I actually got into medicine
b) this time E. and I are actually seriously dating and not just doing each other. Metaphorically speaking.
It also beats 2007 because high school achievements mean jackass-all in the real world. So yeah, 2012 was a good year. I had a job, found some money, bought a crapload of clothing, went to my friend's wedding, became better bros with M., got registered as a pharmacist, got into medicine and got to keep E.
All in all, I think God gave me a pretty awesome year.
