#politicalcorrectnesssucks

This is something I find quite interesting. Interesting being the most politically correct and non offensive word I could think of seeing as this is potentially a contentious issue.
A bit of a kerfuffle has been kicked up re. Tui's newest billboard which says 'Dad's new husband seems nice'. Yet, no one really finds it that horribly offensive when Tui posts 'Let's take a moment this Christmas to think about Christ' and when Christians take offense at that, we just get told to calm the fuck down, it's only a joke.

Are the feelings of the gay community somehow more valued than Christians? By no means are either more important than the other. Sure, Tui's billboards are engineered to get some sort of a reaction, but where do we draw the line? I just find it interesting that society has chosen to draw the line here.

#theperfecthousewife

Peplow's anatomy lecture makes me want to clean the house. In an attempt to procrastinate, I have managed to clean the bathroom sink and bathtub, vacuum the flat, wash the towels, take out the recycling, bleach the rubbish bin and wash the dishes.

postscript: don't you just hate it when you're trying to do a sneaky Facebook stalk of someone who you're not friends with and accidentally send a friend request? Make that button smaller!

#anteriortalofibularligament

I hate ligaments. More than bones. Because where you have two bones, you probably have four ligaments attaching them together. I can't hate them too much because without them, we'd literally be nothing but a pile of bones.

As much as I hate anatomy, I really can't help but be in awe of how amazing the human body is. The ligaments are in rather commonsensical places... like, if I was going to stick some things together, I'd logically put cellotape in those various alignments too.

#sickisgood

Was slightly sick today (well, have been for the last few days) but advantage: went into the dissection room today and couldn't smell a thing. Well, not unless I walked really close to the cadavers.

But I think anatomy may be my Waterloo. I cannot envision things spatially. Possibly because I am female, but that may be being a little sexist.

Also for the first time in ages, I am not all pissy and pessimistic. Probably because I know that I will be seeing E. for the next two weeks. Life is lovely.
